Campbell River Head Injury Support Society

For those individuals, families, friends and community who are dealing with issues around brain injury, the Campbell River Head Injury Support Society provides education, advocacy, support, and fellowship to brain injury survivors, their caregivers, families, and education to the general public about brain injury. Caregivers Group and Survivors Support Group programs are available.

Programs Offered

  • Caregivers Group

Once a month 5pm – 7:30pm. Discussion on brain injury symptoms, coping strategies, self care, community supports, etc. Survivors Support Group: Every Wednesday at 10:00am – 11:30am. Discussion on head injury symptoms, such as anger management, memory problems, fatigue, budgeting, etc. Computer Instruction Mondays, 10:30am – 11:30am. All levels of computer skills Other Programs and Services

  • Assistance with Doctors appointments / forms and application assistance
  • Life skills Development
  • Cooking and Preparation
  • Dealing with Anger workshop
