Aboriginal Employment Program - Island Health
Island Health's Aboriginal Employment Program was created to help us build strong long-term relationships with the First Nations communities and Aboriginal organizations on Vancouver Island.
Why Our Program is Important
As the largest employer on Vancouver Island, we want our workforce to resemble the population we serve more closely. Island Health’s Aboriginal Employment Program was created to help us build strong long-term relationships with the First Nations communities and Aboriginal organizations on Vancouver Island.
Through a wide range of initiatives, we are working to encourage and enhance Aboriginal employment on Vancouver Island in the health-care sector to assist in meeting Island Health's future workforce needs.
