Preventing a Birth Before 37 Weeks of Pregnancy

In 2020, the Campbell River and District Division of Family Practice formed a working group including local FPs, an OBGYN, and midwife.

This team worked to develop content for public-education resources including a poster offering Tips on Preventing a Birth Before 37 Weeks of Pregnancy and a matching Rack Card. The resources were created in collaboration with the First Nations Health Authority and vetted by local mothers.

This topic was identified as a need for the Island communities in response to the North Island having higher than the BC average number of cases of preterm births. These resources (digital and printed), can be requested by emailing campbellriverdistrict@divisionsbc.ca.

These resources are available to download here. Please note that the files marked "with bleed" are to be used when professionally printing; otherwise, just use the "no bleed" files, and the WEB (JPGs) for social media.
