Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services

The program provides court-ordered assessment and treatment services. The team includes counsellors, psychiatric social workers, a psychologist and a psychiatrist. Typically treatment is provided following assessments and may include specialized programs for sexual and violent offences as well as more generalized mental health services for youth and families.

Our goal is to create opportunities for youth to understand how they came to be involved in the criminal justice system and develop strategies to move towards a healthy life and away from negative patterns of behaviour.
