North Island Survivors’ Healing Society
North Island Survivors' Healing Society has been in operation in Campbell River since 1993. The Centre offers individual counselling and facilitated group support for people affected by trauma and abuse.
Registered clinical counsellors who specialize in working with trauma (E.g. accidents, war zone, life altering diagnosis) and various forms of abuse provide professional counselling.
All counseling is subsidized, by donation or third party billing.
The Society gratefully acknowledges contributions from the province of BC and United Way.

Professional individual counseling is offered for people who are affected by trauma from war, medical diagnoses, recreational- workplace - and motor vehicle accidents, animal attacks and witnessing violence or injury. |
When yoga classes are taught from a trauma-informed perspective, it has been proven to be helpful for survivors. Yoga can be both stimulating and soothing and it is important that these classes provide an opportunity for participants to feel safe, soothed and secure while our qualified instructor uses trauma-informed skills to emphasize present-state awareness. |
