Campbell River Aboriginal Visioning and Empowerment (CRAVE)

Campbell River Aboriginal Visioning and Empowerment (CRAVE) and the Comox Valley Aboriginal Visioning and Empowerment (CAVE) are initiatives started and hosted by Aboriginal Child and Youth Mental Health, MCFD.

CRAVE is a networking circle for anyone who provides services for Aboriginal Youth and Families who would like to work collaboratively to improve services.

There are Aboriginal elders at each circle to encourage and advise service providers regarding culturally safe programs and services. CRAVE is an open circle. Everyone is welcome, including youth and families. The meetings involve program updates, if appropriate, and a 'wish-list'. This so that people can hear what initiatives people propose and an invitation for collaboration in order to make the initiative come to fruition.

The circle meets every two months.
