B.C. Foster Care Education Program
Mandatory training consists of 14 modules which including topics on communication skills, effects of caregiving, child and youth development, attachment,separation and loss, child abuse and neglect, guiding behaviour of children and youth, substance misuse, cultural responsiveness, aboriginal children in care, FAS/FAE/NAS and suicide awareness.
The FPSS Society is a Grass Roots organization committee to providing meaningful and accessible support, education and networking services which will continually enhance the skills and abilities of Foster Parents to deliver the best care possible to the children in their homes.
