Opportunities Advocacy Services
Provides legal advocacy to low income residents in Campbell River and in the surrounding North Island communities.
Information and/or representation can be provided in the following areas: Income Assistance, Persons With Disabilities (PWD), CPP Disability, Seniors Benefits, Residential Tenancy and Consumer Debt. Funding for the legal advocacy program is provided by The Law Foundation of British Columbia.
Programs and Services Offered
- Advocacy services are for people who experience barriers physically, socially, mentally and economically
- Advocates provide information about available remedies and resources
- They also provide representation to tenants in tenancy disputes as well as assisting in appeals for welfare and disability benefits
- Other legal issues are assessed on a case by case basis and will be referred to appropriate resources when necessary

Regular hours: Tue-Fri, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or by appointment. Closed daily from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM for lunch.
