Adult Literacy Program
Servicing Campbell River and surrounding area, the Campbell River Literacy Association uses both one to one and small group training models, supported by trained volunteer tutors, to assist approximately 125 learners yearly. Individualized learning plans focus on one of three key objectives: the enhancement of personal literacy skills leading to continued education, the improvement in the learner's functional literacy to support success in the workplace or workplace training, and language acquisition services for lower level ESL learners.more info

Ann Elmore Transition House
ANN ELMORE TRANSITION HOUSE (AEH) is a short-term emergency shelter which provides safe shelter, support services, food, clothing and basic necessities for women, and their children, who are at risk of abuse/violence. Offering both in-person and online counselling sessions for clients seeking therapy in Campbell River, the surrounding communities and throughout the Province of BC (outside of CR is online only). I currently offer both Counselling and Art Therapy services to adults of all ages (18 years and older). Helping individuals to connect with their inner strengths, build and identify strategies for regulating emotions, with collaborative support as each individual works towards their goals. I am a relational counsellor who works alongside in a supportive role. I offer clients attentive listening, genuine regard and my whole-hearted way of being, with a trauma-informed, culturally-safe presence. My counselling office reflects my calm nature with a peaceful welcoming ambiance. I have the kettle on to offer clients tea as we sit together and engage in the therapeutic process.
