History

Evergreen Seniors Home is a private residential care home owned by the corporation of Evergreen Seniors Home Inc.  Our home was founded by a local group of citizens concerned with the limited resources available to our community seniors.  Our home has provided increased individual choice for quality care for the Campbell River and area.

Our family operated home offers a full range of services in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. We provide 24 hour professional nursing care for basic to complex care needs including those residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-like conditions. No matter what your health challenges may be, we will assist you in living up to your maximum abilities. We can offer total care solutions to allow you to age in place.

Evergreen was established in April 2006 with 14 units and expanded in December 2009 for a total capacity of 37.  Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) has contracted and subsidizes 14 of these units.  Phase 3 expansion is almost near completion. On June 15, 2016 we will have 20 single occupancy care units and on July 1, 2016 we will have 7 self-contained one bedroom suites for independent living or assisted living.
